ISSA OCEANIA UPDATE

To help businessses match their facility requirements with the right cleaning system to maximise resources and improve cleaning quality, the ISSA Oceania is holding the Introduction to Costing Contract Cleaning Services Training Course with Susan Crane. 

 

ISSA CLEANING & HYGIENE EXPO

As a result of the Omicron wave that hit Australia in December – January, the ISSA Oceania team made the tough decision to reschedule the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo. The Expo will now take place on Wednesday, 14 September – Thursday, 15 September 2022 at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Sydney.

The decision was made following consultation within the industry and ISSA Oceania advisory council.  With the Australia borders now opening for international travellers, the team is confident this postponement will provide a greater opportunity for more participants to attend the expo and share valuable experiences together. Once again, ISSA Oceania would like to thank all exhibitors, sponsors and participants for their continuing patience and support.

Global Biorisk Advisory Council launches new training course

The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of ISSA, has launched a new GBAC Academy training course focused on increasing knowledge of cleaning for health for individuals in all businesses. The new course, “Infectious Disease Awareness in the Workplace: COVID-19 Considerations,” highlights how pathogens spread and cause illness and the role that proper hygienic cleaning and disinfection play in infection prevention.

GBAC publishes peer-reviewed paper on air quality in non-healthcare settings

The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of ISSA, has announced that its first official scientific paper has completed peer-review and been accepted for publication.

The paper, “Biological Air Quality Considerations for Non-Healthcare, As Built Environments,” was developed with support from the National Airduct Cleaners Association (NADCA) and addresses several strategies for improving indoor air quality in facilities such as schools, restaurants, convention centers, and gyms.
